The scope included direct-bond ceramic lagging and specialised bearings and housings, both of which typically carry extended procurement lead times.<br><br><strong>The Challenge<br><\/strong><br>The lagging system the client required, direct-bond ceramic, combined with the non-standard bearing and housing requirements would result in lead times that exceeded the customer&#8217;s deadlines.<br><br>This project was not one most competitors would accept, due to the high risk that the project schedule could not be completed on time without finding an alternative approach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>The Solution<br><\/strong><br>Our team worked collaboratively to review the scope and identify opportunities to compress the overall schedule. Key actions included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Expediting the design and engineering phase<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fast-tracking procurement of all standard materials <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prioritising the sourcing of specialised housings<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Committing additional resources and working through the Christmas shutdown period<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>This coordinated approach allowed parallel activities to proceed without compromising quality or specification compliance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Outcomes<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Through early design acceleration, proactive supplier engagement, and exceptional team commitment, we successfully met the customer\u2019s delivery expectations and delivered the pulleys and rollers on time.
