The CPS team\u2019s continuous push for innovation has produced a simple yet significant change to reduce the risk of manual handling injuries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Discussions with our customers identified a long-standing risk when undertaking manual handling tasks with conveyor rollers. The status quo is that the individual weight of conveyor rollers is not easily identifiable in the field. As a result, technicians were left to assume roller weights which increases the risk of injuries due to the potential of selecting incorrect lifting practices for manual handling tasks.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To reduce this specific risk, the CPS team initiated an update across the manufacturing process to now include individual visual weight details on all CPS rollers. The roller unit weight details now empower technicians to easily and accurately assess the weight of each roller. As a result, this significantly aids in reducing the risk of manual handling injuries related to lifting and manual handling conveyor rollers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The weight details of the individual roller are now added to the long-term information stickers on each CPS-manufactured roller. The long-term identification stickers used by CPS are proven in the field to provide accurate visual information on the rollers across their whole\u2019 life cycle and easily allows reference to important information including the part number, purchase order, manufacturing batch number and specific manufacturing date of each roller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
