Question: What is your position/title at CPS?
Answer: I was a Senior Design Specialist, among many other roles, including Coffee Machine Expert. I have since transitioned into a Junior Project Manager role, but I continue to assist in my previous roles during this transition period.

Question: How long have you been with the company?
Answer: I have been with the company since 2006, starting in the factory and working part-time while earning a tertiary degree. In 2011, I moved into a full-time role with the company.

Question: What does a typical day look like for you?
Answer: My day often involves a variety of tasks. I may engage in drafting, assist with production jobs, troubleshoot any issues, and support the sales team with their requests. Additionally, I ensure that the coffee machine is clean and ready for use, as maintaining productivity is crucial for the team.

Question: Can you describe a recent engineering challenge you faced at CPS and how you approached solving it?
Answer: Each challenge has required collaboration with those around me to find the best solution. No challenge has been resolved solely through individual effort. We have a fantastic team in the engineering department, and leveraging their expertise ensures we provide the best solutions to any challenges we face.

Question: How do you ensure that your engineering solutions meet both the technical requirements and the practical needs of CPS clients?
Answer: Teamwork and communication with the engineering team and sales representatives are key. By utilising the expertise of our talented engineering team, we address both the technical and practical needs of our clients. We engage in open conversations about potential solutions to ensure we provide the best possible outcomes, whether in terms of products, solutions, or both.

Question: Can you share a particular project you enjoyed working on, and how did it deliver value to the client?
Answer: Many of the projects I have found most rewarding have been internal, where the client is another part of the company. With the help of the automation team, I developed machinery to automate what was previously a very manual process. This automation has significantly improved productivity and reduced the likelihood of injuries to employees.

Question: Tell us about life outside CPS. What do you enjoy doing?
Answer: I enjoy going to the gym, being part of the gym community, playing social sports and catching up with friends and family.
