Posted at May 08, 2023
Question: What is your position/title at CPS?
Answer: I’m in charge of preparing the spare parts for our range of rollers, although my role has changed over the years – I was previously employed as a qualified welder!
Question: How long have you been with the company?
Answer: I’ve been working with CPS for a little over 10 years now.
Question: What does a typical day look like for you?
Answer: My day usually starts with me checking the stocks needed for the day (eg. flingers, bearings, labyrinths, housings, etc.). After that, I print the stickers for the flingers and make sure that the housings fit the measurement criteria for the specific order. I then sign the cut list. My day usually ends by making sure that my workspace area is clean and tidy, ready for the next day!
Question: What do you find most challenging and rewarding about the role?
Answer: What I find rewarding most rewarding about my role is when we complete the project for the client. Sometimes there can be many changes and challenges along the way but the appreciation we get from our clients is very rewarding.
Question: Can you share a particular project you enjoyed working on, and how did it deliver value to the client?
Answer: Not a specific project, as I work mainly in production so the work is always ongoing – it’s one long project! I think that is what I actually enjoy the most; I feel accomplished whenever we meet the deadline after many hours of hard work.
Question: Tell us about life outside CPS. What do you enjoy doing?
Answer: During my free time, I like to do gardening, cooking, catching up with friends and family and just spending time with them!
