Life At CPS

Meet Steven Singleton, East Coast Regional Manager at CPS

Posted at June 29, 2023

Question: What is your position/title at CPS?
Answer: I hold the position of East Coast Regional Manager.

Question: How long have you been with the company?
Answer: I have been with the company since November 2017, nearly six year

Question: What does a typical day look like for you?
Answer: My day involves a mix of in-person meetings, video calls and communication through phone and email. I collaborate closely with clients to deliver effective conveyor product solutions, managing the entire sales lifecycle from initial contact, scoping works, to ongoing maintenance and support. When I’m not traveling to visit clients or our CPS and Fenner facilities, I work from my home office located on the outskirts of Brisbane.

Question: What do you find most challenging and rewarding about the role?
Answer: One of the most challenging aspects of my role is covering a large area with a diverse customer base. Each client has different equipment, requirements, and needs, which can be demanding. Additionally, having an in-depth memory and understanding of everyone’s site and conveyor systems presents its own set of challenges. On the rewarding side, seeing our products out in the field and our market share grow every day is incredibly fulfilling.

Question: Can you share a particular project you enjoyed working on, and how did it deliver value to the client?
Answer: What I have enjoyed most is introducing my clients to a new way of thinking when it comes to conveyor components through CPS Composites. Recent case studies at Kestrel Coal and Curragh Mine are examples of this.

Question: Tell us about life outside CPS. What do you enjoy doing?
Answer:Outside of my professional life at CPS, I enjoy spending time with our household of six, including a seven-month-old bundle of joy. From attending sporting events and engaging in baby rhyme time sessions to gardening, cooking and entertaining family and friends, there is never a dull moment.
