“Optimising operational efficiency & safety are our topmost priorities. The switch to CPS Yeloroll-HD Rollers offered an innovative solution to our challenges of roller reliability, excessive noise and weight.”Connor Gregory Manager CHPP, Coronado Global Resources Inc.

Coronado Global Resources, a major coal mining client in Central Queensland, contacted CPS to upgrade the current steel rollers on their overland conveyor project. The CPS team recommended the installation of Yeloroll-HD Rollers as a direct replacement, satisfying the client’s requirement for a low-noise, lightweight roller. To help the client further reduce the site’s energy consumption, Fenner Conveyors’ low-rolling resistant belting was also installed.

The site’s existing steel rollers were excessively heavy and noisy, with sound-level readings ranging from 80.6 dB to 89.4 dB. The client wanted to upgrade their rollers to a lightweight, lower-noise alternative that would reduce noise pollution on site and, at the same time, decrease roller changeouts and downtime – increasing productivity and personnel safety.

Fenner Conveyors’ service team was contracted to complete the changeout of some 3,000 rollers and 5.4km of low-rolling resistant (LRR) conveyor belt.
