Manual Handling Weight Reduction Case Study

Posted at January 13, 2021

A client located in the Northern Territory contracted CPS due to the multiple issues they were having with their overland conveyor system because of conveyor roller failures. Upon completing engineering calculations, the CPS team identified the CPS Yeloroll HD roller as the best fit-for-purpose roller for the client’s needs.

CPS supplied a total of 10,570 trough carry rollers and a total of 1,010 return rollers—delivering a total realised weight saving of 27,482 kgs on trough carry rollers and 4,141 kgs on return rollers. Overall, the CPS team delivered a total supplied weight saving of 31.6 tonnes.

With CPS Yeloroll HD rollers, physical manual handling was reduced significantly and has been a well-received value added safety initiative for the client.
