A client contracted CPS to investigate their high usage of steel idlers to improve their conveyor’s reliability.
CPS investigated the failure mode of the installed rollers and proposed a small-scale trial to prove the concept of quality composite rollers to the client.
Six months after installation and after processing 9,443,979 tonnes, the Yeloroll HD rollers and polyurethane spiral return garlands were still in excellent condition with only minimal signs of wear.
After 18 months, the trial rollers were still installed and with no issues—further improving the client’s return on investment.
